Privacy Policy
Last updated 11 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Sendwing handles, why, and the choices you have. Sendwing is provided by Ayush Patil, an individual based in India ("we", "us"). Contact us atsupport@sendwing.app.
Two kinds of data
- Our customers' data. When you sign up and use Sendwing, we decide how your account data is used, as this policy describes.
- Our customers' contacts. When a business uses Sendwing to email you, that business decides how your data is used, and we process it on its behalf and on its instructions. If you get email sent with Sendwing, contact the business that sent it about your data; every email has a link to change your preferences or unsubscribe. We'll help them answer you.
What we collect from customers
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Workspace details: workspace names, team members and their roles, your company name and postal address (which the law requires in marketing email), sending domains and settings.
- Usage and security data: sign-in sessions with their IP address and browser, a log of changes made in your workspaces, and technical logs we use to keep the service working and secure.
- Billing: payments are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your payment details; we never see your full card number. We receive your plan, billing status and invoices.
What we process for customers about their contacts
- Contact details the customer adds, such as email address, name and custom properties like a birthday.
- Tags, lists and segments the customer puts them in.
- Email activity: whether an email was delivered, bounced or marked as spam, and, when the customer turns tracking on, opens and link clicks.
- Consent history: each subscribe and unsubscribe, with when and how it happened, including the IP address and browser when the contact made the change themselves. It's kept as proof of consent.
How we use data
- To provide the service: store your content, send your email, and show you reports.
- To keep email deliverable and lawful: suppress addresses that bounce or complain, honor unsubscribes, and detect abuse.
- To secure accounts and the service, and to fix problems.
- To bill you and to send you service emails, such as verification, password resets, invitations and important notices.
- To meet legal obligations.
We don't sell personal data, use contacts' data for our own marketing, or use it to train AI models. We process your account data to perform our contract with you, and on the basis of your consent or our legitimate uses as allowed by law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who we share data with
We use these service providers to run Sendwing. Each gets only what it needs, and only to provide its service:
- Cloudflare (United States and global): hosting, file storage and our own service emails.
- Neon: the database.
- Amazon Web Services (United States): delivering the email customers send.
- Paddle: payments and invoicing, as Merchant of Record.
Because of this, data may be processed outside India, including in the United States. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
Cookies
This website doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. The Sendwing app uses a cookie only to keep you signed in.
How long we keep data
- Account and workspace data: for as long as your account and workspaces exist.
- When a workspace is deleted, we delete its data, including its contacts, emails and activity history. Copies in backups are removed as those backups expire.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Suppression and consent records: for as long as the customer's workspace exists, so unsubscribes keep being honored.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, access within a workspace is controlled by roles, and every sign-in session is checked on each request so it can be revoked at once. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to act for you. Customers can do most of this in the app. Otherwise, emailsupport@sendwing.app and we'll answer within 30 days. Contacts of our customers should ask the business that emailed them first.
Grievance officer
For complaints about how we handle personal data, contact our grievance officer, Ayush Patil, atsupport@sendwing.app. If you aren't satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India or your local data protection authority.
Children
Sendwing is for businesses and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
We'll post changes here and update the date above. If a change is significant, we'll tell customers by email or in the app first.
