Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 11 October 2026
Sendwing shares its sending reputation across every customer, so one sender's bad habits can hurt everyone's deliverability. This policy sets the rules for what you may send and to whom. It's part of ourTerms of Service.
Permission
Only email people who have agreed to hear from you. In particular:
- Don't use purchased, rented, shared, scraped or harvested lists, or lists from an affiliate or partner.
- Don't add people because their address is public, or because they gave it to you for something else (like a receipt) unless they also agreed to marketing.
- Be able to show when and how each contact agreed, if we or a mailbox provider ask.
- Stop emailing contacts who haven't heard from you in a long time unless you're sure they still want it.
Every email must
- Come from a domain you own, with an accurate sender name and a subject line that isn't misleading.
- Include your company name, postal address and a working unsubscribe link. Sendwing adds these to every email; don't remove or hide them.
- Respect unsubscribes. Sendwing honors them automatically; don't re-add people who left.
Never send
- Spam, or email that breaks anti-spam laws such as India's IT Act, the US CAN-SPAM Act, the EU GDPR and ePrivacy rules, or Canada's CASL.
- Phishing, malware, or links meant to deceive or steal credentials or payment details.
- Content that's illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or promotes violence.
- Sexually explicit content, or anything involving the exploitation of minors.
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy.
- Scams, pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick offers, or illegal gambling, drugs or weapons.
- Email impersonating another person or organization.
Don't misuse the service
- Don't try to get around sending limits, suppression of bounced or complaining addresses, or domain warm-up.
- Don't use Sendwing to check whether addresses are valid, or to send transactional email on behalf of others as a reseller without our agreement.
- Don't attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or access other customers' data.
Bounces and complaints
High bounce and spam-complaint rates are the clearest sign that people didn't ask for your email. Sendwing pauses a workspace's sending automatically if its bounces go above 5% or its complaints above 0.3%. We'll work with you to fix the cause before sending resumes.
Enforcement
If you break this policy, we may pause your sending, remove content, suspend or close your account, without a refund where the breach is serious. Where we can, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.
If you got unwanted email sent with Sendwing, use its unsubscribe link and emailsupport@sendwing.app with the email attached or its headers. We look into every report.
